The yellow box on the picture is a little vague but it was on the side of the motor that is the front of the tractor and you do not have to remove the flywheel shroud to see it, only the gas tank and mounting plate. The part looks to be connected directly to the engine block on what I would call the 'shoulder' (below or next to the cylinder). I didn't get a pic of the part but I'll do my best to describe it from memory and I've indicated the position of it with the yellow box in the pic below. I have all the information off the number plate on the side of the motor but I can't find anywhere that has a parts diagram/exploded views of the engine parts. I am restoring an old Simplicity Model W walk behind with a Briggs Model 19 on it.
